Arrest Made For Shots Fired During Wedding At Premiere Bergen Catering Hall Northvale detectives charged a New York man with firing the shots during a wedding reception that brought an army of police to The Rockleigh catering hall last month. Ersin Kolenovic, 23, was released after being charged on Friday, Oct. 7, in connection with the Sept. 25 incident, Northvale Police Chief Howard Ostrow said. Officers summoned by a caller to the popular Paris Avenue venue shortly after 9:30 that night were told that shots had been fired inside and outside the hall, the chief said. The new pop-up location is in the Smith School parking lot on Monroe Street, and opened last week with showings of "Jurassic Park." This week's showings of "Sing" will be Tuesday and Wednesday, and "Secret Life of Pets" Thursday and Friday. Tickets are $25 per car -- $10 per car load and $15 for parking. A new report by NJ 101.5 found that the median residential tax increase among 565 municipalities in 2018 was 1.9 percent -- down from a 2.1 percent increase in 2017. Only three towns across Bergen and Passaic counties saw decreases in residential property taxes: East Rutherford, Alpine and West Milford. Missing Rockland Hikers Found, Firefighter Treated A firefighter had to be treated for an undetermined injury after rescuers found four Rockland County hikers who’d become lost in the woods late Saturday night after crossing into New Jersey, responders said. One of the missing hikers was found near the Boy Scout camp in Alpine after they became lost in the Alpine-Rockleigh area, they said. Firefighters from Closter, Harrington Park, Old Tappan, Norwood and Northvale joined their colleagues from Orangetown in the search. The injured firefighter was taken to HUMC Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood.
