The Second Ward councilman has been at University Hospital since July 24, when his leg was pinned by a garbage truck at Advance Environmental Recycling Inc., in Newark. On Monday, he endured his 10th surgery -- which friends and family said would likely be his last. It will be a while until Gullace can return to work at the Hudson County Improvement Authority (HCIA), and he is facing a year and a half of physical therapy -- but the beloved councilman could be discharged as early …

Indian Hills HS Athlete Remains In Hospital 2 Months After Pancreatic Soccer Game Injury Tuesday marked exactly two months since the injury that changed everything for Indian Hills High School sophomore Antonio Iapicca. Antonio, 15, was playing his heart out in a soccer game against Wayne Hills on Sept. 19, before he was kneed in the abdomen so hard he suffered a severed pancreas. The teen was admitted to The Children's Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he remains today.
