Szymon Tereszko, 26, of Clifton was charged with speeding, reckless driving and unsafe lane changing after he was stopped by Patrolman Kyle Ferreira near Goffle Road.

Route 208 is notorious for speeders: Last October, Wyckoff police clocked a motorcyclist at 138 miles an hour.

Five months earlier, they picked off a driver doing 103 — while drunk. The month before, they snagged another doing 108.

“It’s important for the public to be aware that there are yahoos who do this on their own, and my officers risk themselves catching them,” Chief Benjamin J. Fox told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“That we do catch them is a signal to others not to try it here,” the chief added. “If you try, you do so at your own peril — although unfortunately at the peril of others if, God forbid, you have a crash.”
