Woman Tied To Passaic Police Protests Charged With Smoking Pot

PASSAIC, N.J. -- A Passaic woman who helped spark police protests in front of City Hall was arrested for allegedly smoking pot and charged with child endangerment, according to NorthJersey.com.

Jazim Vidal, 21, stirred controversy when she posted a cellphone video of a police officer threatening Latinos with deportation. She was allegedly observed with four other people smoking pot near the boathouse in Third Ward Park, NorthJersey.com reported. 

Vidal's infant daughter was allegedly crying in an unheated vehicle nearby, NorthJersey.com said. 

The child suffered no injuries and Vidal was allowed to return home with her after bing charged with several drug counts as well as child endangerment, NorthJersey.com said.
