Wayne Police Say Panty Thieves Snatched $2,000 Worth Of Underwear

WAYNE, N.J. -- A pair of panty thieves were caught fleeing a Victoria's Secret at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne with nearly $2,000 worth of underwear, police said Friday.

Security guards grabbed the couple -- identified as JohanOrocco, 29, and Fabiola Vargas, 31, both of Corona, Queens -- after they'd wandered through the store, stuffing 144 panities into bags Thursday night, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

Both were later released pending a hearing on charges of shoplifting more than $500 worth of merchandise.
