Sheriff: Ritzy Wayne Apartment Was Paterson Woman's Prostitution Pad

WAYNE, N.J. -- An apartment in an upscale Wayne complex was the base of operations for a Paterson prostitute, authorities said.

Sandra Rios, 37, directed an undercover detective who called for an appointment to the Mountain View Crossing apartment complex off Route 23, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said.

Rios "negotiated a sexual act in exchange for money and was later arrested," Berdnik said.

She was charged with one count of soliciting prostitution and released pending a court appearance.

Berdnik praised detectives from his department and Wayne police for their work on the joint investigation.
