Passaic Sheriff: Paterson Man In Attempted Stabbing Had 130 Heroin Folds

PATERSON, N.J. -- A 21-year-old Paterson man who admitted trying to stab another moments earlier was carrying 130 folds of heroin when Passaic County sheriff's officers grabbed him Wednesday night, the sheriff said.

Sheriff Richard N. Berdnik said his officers grabbed Marcus Toledo around 9 p.m. and found the contraband after being alerted by the victim.

Besides a small amount of marijuana, Toledo had 43 folds stamped "ESCOBAR SEASON" in purple ink, 36 stamped 'Body Bag"in blue ink, 50 stamped "Golden Boy" in purple ink and one stamped “TDP BANK" in blue ink, the sheriff said.

He was taken to the Paterson police headquarters cell block to await a judge to set bail.
