NORTH ALEDON, N.J. -- Grace Elizabeth Murdock, 93, of North Haledon, died peacefully Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
Born in the Totowa Section of Paterson, Murdock lived in North Haledon for 46 years before residing in Delray Beach, Fla. and Ocean Beach. For the past five years, she lived at Mill Gardens Assisted Living in Midland Park.
She was a member of the Paterson Avenue Methodist and Episcopal Church in Totowa and was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff before moving to Delray Beach.
She was a homemaker, Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout den mother.
She is survived by her son W. Thomas, and his wife Mary of Milton, Mass.; her daughter, Jeanne Miller, and her husband Tom of Wyckoff; five grandchildren, Andrew, Thomas (wife Meghan), Mary Beth, Laura (husband Collin) and Michelle.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William in 2011.
The family would like to thank the exceptionally kind and dedicated staff of Mill Gardens for the concern, care and professionalism shown to her during her time there as a resident.
Friends may visit the family from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral service will immediately follow visiting at 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
