Pedestrian Identified In Deadly Central Jersey Crash
A pedestrian who was struck by an SUV and killed in Monmouth County has been identified, authorities said. Curtis Davis, 60, of Tinton Falls, died after the crash on Friday, Mar. 29, according to a spokesperson from the Monmouth Country Prosecutor's Office. West Long Branch police responded to Route 36 East near Monmouth Road at around 7:55 p.m. Officers found Davis and paramedics rushed him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. A man and woman from Lakewood were killed after crashing into a snowplow truck on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, authorities said. A body was found amid the dropoffs at a Jersey Shore recycling plant, authorities confirmed. The adult male corpse was discovered at the Mazza Recycling plant in Tinton Falls on Wednesday, Nov. 8, Chris Swendeman of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office confirmed. A dump truck overturned on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 northbound at Exit 105 in Tinton Falls, according to the New Jersey State Police. Preliminary investigation revealed a Kenworth dump truck, Audi and Chevy pickup were traveling northbound. The Kenworth overturned and collided with the Audi and Chevy. No serious injuries were reported, State Police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Firefighters Knock Down House Fire Closed Holmdel Street
Firefighters knocked down a fire that closed a street in Holmdel Monday, Sept. 25. The blaze broke out around 11:10 a.m., bringing firefighters from several companies to Holmdel Road. If you take Route 36 to the Garden Stae Parkway southbound, you're in for some detours during the next eight months. That's the word from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which is continuing a $17 million bridge rehabilitation project in Tinton Falls. The project consists of four work areas. To complete each work area, a full closure of that ramp will be required and traffic will be detoured to either Interchanges 102 or 109.
