Searching For Jacob O. Abdelshahid Of Central Jersey Seen him? Police are searching for a 20-year-old South Jersey man who has been missing since Christmas. Jacob O. Abdelshahid, of Avenel, was last seen on East Mountain Road near CR 601 overnight on Monday, Dec. 25, Montgomery Township Police Lt. Tom Frascella said. Abdelshahid stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing a green bomber-style jacket, black or dark blue pants, and white sneakers at the time of his disappearance and does not have his phone or wallet with him, Frascella added. Man Found Slumped Behind Wheel In Montgomery Township A drunken driver was found asleep behind the wheel, authorities said. On Thursday, Dec. 7 at approximately 8 p.m., Montgomery Township police responded to the intersection of Route 518 and Route 206. Pollice found a 2020 Nissan Rogue stopped in the left turn lane of Route 518 with a line of cars behind it honking their horns.  Police observed the driver and lone occupant slumped over the steering wheel apparently asleep. After multiple attempts, the officers were able to wake up the driver who was identified as 31-year-old Jake Fenical of Franklin Park, police said…

Motorcyclist, 26, Killed In Rt. 206 Montgomery Twp. Crash (Update) A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Route 206 Friday afternoon, Dec. 1, police said. The motorcyclist was flown by NorthSTAR Medevac to the hospital following the accident involving one other vehicle at 12:15 p.m., Montgomery Township Police Lt. Tom Frascella said. The other motorist was evaluated and declined further treatment. The roadway was closed for approximately three hours for an investigation. DWI Somerset Driver Caused Head-On Crash With Tractor Trailer On Route 206: Police A 33-year-old Somerset man was arrested and charged after he crashed into a truck while intoxicated on Wednesday, Nov. 8, Montgomery Township police said. At 6:15 p.m., police responded to Route 206 and Orchard Road for a report of a crash, officers said. Upon arrival, they found a disabled 2008 Buick Enclave, driven by Keith Tisdale, with heavy front end damage, and a disabling tractor trailer with its hazard lights activated, police said. Police In Somerset County Talk Juvenile Out Of Knife-Wielding Standoff Police officers in Somerset County were able to peacefully convince a juvenile to turn over a knife after an hours-long negotiation, authorities said. On Thursday at 7:46 p.m. Montgomery Township Police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a juvenile in crisis with a knife refusing to speak.  Acting Sergeant Daniel Balinski, Officer Salvatore Intili, Officer John Colucci, and Officer Connor Chapkowski responded to the residence to meet with concerned family members.  Officers were able to safely de-escalate the situation, by slowly building a rapport with the juven…
