A pair of men from Ocean County have been charged with setting a home on fire in Little Egg Harbor, authorities said. Thomas Lester, 20, of Tuckerton, and Ethan Salter, 19, of Little Egg Harbor Township, broke into a National Union Boulevard home on Jan. 8 around 2:15 p.m., then started a fire in the living room, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. The 76-year-old father who helped launch the 9/11 compensation fund, his son's namesake, was struck and killed by an SUV this weekend, Daily Voice has learned. Joseph C. An additional 14 New Jersey businesses have been barred from practicing for short-changing workers and other violations, bringing the total to 82, according to the state's Labor and Workforce Development Department. A Powerball ticket from the Monday, Dec. 25 drawing with a $50,000 jackpot was sold at a 7-Eleven store on the Jersey Shore. The Christmas Day ticket was purchased from the 7-Eleven store at 800 Radio Road in Little Egg Harbor (Ocean County). The winning numbers were 05, 12, 20, 24, and 29. The Powerball was 04. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Jersey Shore: Police
An 86-year-old man was struck and killed by a pickup in Harvey Cedars on Long Beach Island, authorities said. Ralph Alston, of Little Egg Harbor, was hit while crossing Long Beach Boulevard near the intersection of 80th Street at about 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, according to Harvey Cedars Police Chief Robert Burnaford. Alston was airlifted to AtantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, Burnaford said. Police have identified the two people killed in a Jersey Shore weekend murder-suicide. Carl Schulz, Jr., 52, is believed to have broken into his ex-wife Kimberly Hoffman's apartment on Whitemarsh Court in Little Egg Harbor, early Saturday, July 29, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D.
