Joe Gomez has worked in news rooms all across the world.

He started as a radio news reporter at Newsradio 850 KOA in Denver shortly after leaving the University of Colorado at Boulder. Gomez then went on to work as a reporter in Seattle, Houston, Dallas and Washington DC, where he was a National Correspondent for NBC News Radio.

He has appeared on National Television in the US, the UK and in Pakistan as a reporter and commentator.

Police ID 3 Killed In Maryland Crash Three people are dead after a head-on crash in Charles County, according to NBC Washington. The accident happened on Jan. 23 just before 8 p.m., the victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the intersection of Hawthorne Roade and Ripley way, according to Charles County Fire officials. The victims have been identified as as Patrick Bowie, Jr., 44, Tineka Palmer, 35, and Tyron Carroll, 33, Maryland State Police said. For more information on the story go to NBC Washington.

Maryland Paramedic/Firefighter Dies From Complications Due To Covid-19 A career paramedic/firefighter in Carroll County has died as a result of COVID-19, according to officials. Robert A. “Bobby” Jones contracted COVID-19 while serving the citizens of Carroll County in December 2021. After multiple complications due to the virus he died of the illness on Jan. 20, the Carrol County Department of Fire & EMS said. Shooting At Maryland High School Leaves Student In Serious Condition, Suspect In Custody A male student was shot at Magruder High School in Rockville and a 17-year-old suspect has been taken into custody, according to Montgomery County Police. The student was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition, he was shot in a school bathroom on Jan. 21 at approximately 12:53 p.m., police said. The suspected shooter is a student of the school and was located in a classroom by police after the incident occurred. Burglar Who Crawled Into Bed With Underage Girl Wanted In Maryland: Police A man broke into a home in Silver Spring and crawled into bed with an underage girl -- now police have released a sketch of the suspect in hopes of identifying him. The juvenile girl woke up to an unknown man lying in her bed on the 500 block of Thayer Avenue around 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 14, according to Montgomery County Police. Students Plan Walk Out Over Covid-19 In Montgomery County Students attending Montgomery County Public Schools plan to stage a walk out on Jan. 21, over what they claim are unsafe conditions due to the spread of COVID-19. Maryland Man Gets Prison Time For 'Sadistic' Child Porn: Feds A Frederick County man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for possessing and distributing over 1,000 images and videos of child pornography, according to officials. David William Jai Herder, 41, of Ijamsville received the sentence on Jan. 19, it will be followed by a lifetime of supervised release, US District Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher said. Flamboyantly Dressed Burglar Robs Home In Montgomery County: Police Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspected burglar in Montgomery County dressed in bright orange and red. Police responded to the 2300 block of Plyers Mill Road, in Silver Spring for the report of a residential burglary on Dec. 29, 2021. Maryland Man Dead In House With Over 100 Venomous Snakes, Spitting Cobra A man in Pomfret was found dead in his home with over 100 venomous snakes inside, according to police. Of the many snakes found in the residence, officers discovered a spitting cobra (whose venom can go 10 feet) rattlesnakes, black mambas, and pythons, officials said. On Jan. 19, at 6 p.m., a neighbor called police to check on the man who they had not seen since the day before.
