The chassis, which are used for shipping containers at the ports, are each worth about $10,000 new, authorities said.

“In some cases he slapped new numbers on top of the old ones,” a source told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. “He’d leave half the old one still on.”

He also spray-painted the old chassis — and posted a photo of it on Facebook, the source said.

Hua Fung Wu, 33, faces charges of theft and altering vehicle identification numbers.
