Person Struck, Killed By Freight Train In Harrington Park: Officials

A CSX train struck the pedestrian on the tracks near La Roche Avenue and Semmens Road at approximately 1:25 p.m., a CSX spokesperson said.

Bergen County EMS and Harrington Park Police quickly responded to the scene and later reported that the individual had been killed. There were no injuries to the crew.

"CSX extends its deepest sympathies to everyone impacted by this tragic incident and will continue to support local law enforcement as they complete the investigation," the spokesperson said.
