ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — Lawrence Langerlaan, of Elmwood Park, died Monday, Aug. 8. He was 76.
Born in Clifton to the late John and Cenie Langerlaan, he was employed by Tuscan Dairy in Union for more than 30 years and retired as a manager.
He was a resident of Elmwood Park for more than 50 years. He was an avid fisherman and an avid collector of antique photographs, some so unique they were published in a collectors reference book.
He was the husband of Gloria (nee Stradl) Langerlaan; father of Michael and his wife Mary; brother of Jean Vander Weide and her husband David; brother-in-law of Lois Shortino and her husband Donald and Carolyn Langerlaan; and uncle of Jeffrey and John Langerlaan, Ryan Vander Weide and Jennifer O’Neill.
There will be a funeral at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home Inc., 274 Market St., Elmwood Park followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Anne’s R.C. Church, 15-05 St Anne St., Fair Lawn. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours are from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
