4-Alarm Fire Rages At Marcal Paper Factory In Elmwood Park (Developing)

Firefighters were battling flames at the Marcal Paper plant Friday, July 5 in Elmwood Park.

Companies from multiple different departments in the area responded to the blaze, which broke out around 12:45 p.m.

This is far from the first fire at Marcal. In 2019, a blaze collapsed the 45,000-square-foot distribution warehouse in 90 minutes, as reported by Daily Voice. Other major fires were reported at Marcal in 2017 and 2012.
