NJ Surgeon Dies After Medical Episode On Garden State Parkway: Njsp A 54-year-old Toms River surgeon died following a medical episode while driving on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County on Thursday, Jan. 30, authorities said. At 7:10 a.m., Dr. Jarrod Kaufman was driving a Tesla Model Y northbound on the Garden State Parkway in Lakewood Township, when his vehicle veered off the roadway into a briar patch, Chares Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  Kaufman sustained a medical episode and was pronounced dead at the scene, Marchan said. Christian Mazzariello, Bergen County Native, Dies At 20 Years Old Christian Mazzariello, a native of Emerson, died on Thursday, Feb. 8 at the age of 20, after battling a brief illness according to his obituary. Mazzariello was a student (Class of 2025) at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, majoring in computer science at  the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, the university announced in a statement. NJ Man Missing From Lehigh University Officials at Lehigh University are seeking the public's help in locating a missing student. Daniel Lee, a second-year engineering student from New Jersey, was reported missing Friday, Jan. 20. Foul play is not suspected. Daniel is a university center facilities work-study student. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with red sleeves, black-and-white athletic-type pants, and black sneakers. A 65-year-old man was heading north in the southbound lane of Interstate 87 in a Mini Countryman, when he struck a Volvo XC70 head-on around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 in Chestertown, NY, State Police said.
