Authorities have released the identities of both the pilot who survived and the passenger who died in a small plane crash that shut down Interstate 684 at the border of Fairfield, CT and Westchester, CT counties for hours. Kalmen Goldberger, 26, of Linden, NJ, had reported engine trouble before the single-engine Tecnam P-2008 went down in the center median of I-684 near Exit 2 in Harrison Thursday, Dec. 12 around 7:15 p.m., officials said. A pursuit of a car stolen out of Newark ended in a crash with a police vehicle in Westchester County, NY. Officers responded to a report of men getting out of a car and walking into driveways in the area of Shelly Lane and Stonewall Circle in Harrison at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, according to the Town/Village of Harrison Police Department. An officer found the suspect vehicle, a BMW sedan, on White Deer Lane and saw a man run back to the car from a driveway, police said. A Perth Amboy driver was killed when his car flipped over a concrete barrier on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester County, NY and fell about 25 feet onto another roadway. The man who was killed when a raging fire broke out in his apartment on the 50th floor of Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan early Saturday evening has been identified as a Westchester native.
