Seung Sohn, 25, fled when detectives saw him buy drugs near 10th Avenue and East 28th Street on Monday, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said. Allendale A Capella Singers Reach TV Competition Finals ALLENDALE, N.J. — The Northern Highlands Regional High School a cappella group, the Highlands Voices, will appear on the TV show "Pitch Slapped" finals Tuesday night. The show airs at 10 p.m. on Lifetime channel and re-airs at 2:04 a.m.  Highlands Voices will compete for the final prize to be crowned the best a cappella group. The Northern Highlands squad won the International Championship of High School A Cappella competition in 2014 after topping Stay Tuned the year before.

Gas Leak Forces Evacuation At Prospect Park School PROSPECT PARK, N.J. — A gas leak forced an evacuation at Al-Hikmah Elementary School on North 8th Street in Prospect Park Tuesday morning, police said. The building was reopened around 11 a.m. when authorities said it was safe.  Students and staff were moved to the municipal building while the fire department and PSE&G investigated, police said. Al-Hikmah is a private school run by the Islamic Foundation of New Jersey.
