Mahwah Farm Teaches Environmental Lessons MAHWAH, N.J. — Members of the Mahwah Environmental Volunteer Organization spent the past 10 months building a farm to feed and educate people. Campgaw Education Farm, a two-acre property in Mahwah, was donated to MEVO by Bergen County Parks Department, founder Eric Fuchs-Stengel said. The property on Campgaw road used to be camping grounds but Fuchs-Stengel has greater plans for it. "The farm is a labor of love," he told Daily Voice. Saddle Brook Runner Competes For Fallen Friend SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — Rob DeCarlo of Saddle Brook and Eddie Halperin competed together for Park Ridge High School's track team in the 1990s. Halperin will be with DeCarlo when he competes in is friend's honor in the 2017 Boston Marathon. Halperin died from pancreatic cancer in 2003. Brendel, 62, became known as the township's unofficial photographer as she snapped shots at many of Saddle Brook's events and gatherings.
