Jesse Tullies, 54, of Hillside, received a sentence of nearly 20 years on drugs and weapons offenses. Newark resident Eugene Williams was sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison.

Essex County Sheriff's officers saw the two conducting several drug sales near Clinton Place and Weequahic Avenue Oct. 4, 2017. After officers moved in and arrested them, they searched beneath the bumper of a car where Tullies and Williams had repeatedly retrieved drugs they sold.

Officers found near 200 envelopes of heroin stamped Black Jack; 22 bags containing cocaine base and cocaine; and three semiautomatic handguns, including one loaded with illegal hollow-point ammunition.
