Man, 52, Killed In Palisades Plunge
Palisades Interstate Parkway police were investigating the death of a New York City man who plunged down the cliffs near the George Washington Bridge. John May, 52, of New York City was still alive when a passerby spotted him at the base of the cliff between the northbound lanes of the parkway and the Henry Hudson Drive in Fort Lee shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, PIP Police Lt. Raymond E. Walter said. Fort Lee Ambulance Corps took May to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead, the lieutenant said. Detectives were trying to determine what happened.

Fort Lee Pedestrian Struck, Killed Near GWB, Englewood Cliffs Driver Cited
A 59-year-old Fort Lee pedestrian was struck and killed Friday near the George Washington Bridge, authorities said. Lan Zhang was crossing Bruce Reynolds Boulevard heading north when a 2005 Ford Econoline van turning left from southbound Lemoine Avenue hit her Friday morning, Capt. Ricky Mirkovic said. Responding officers and paramedics from the Fort Lee Ambulance Corps tried to resuscitate Zhang, but she succumbed to her injuries, Mirkovic said. Lt. NYC Man Rescued After Tumble Down Palisades Cliffs In Fort Lee
A rescue team plucked a New York City man from a ledge after he tumbled down the Palisades in Fort Lee late Thursday. Erick Sanes, 23, was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that responders said didn’t appear life-threatening following the 11:19 p.m. call.
