Joe Gomez has worked in news rooms all across the world.

He started as a radio news reporter at Newsradio 850 KOA in Denver shortly after leaving the University of Colorado at Boulder. Gomez then went on to work as a reporter in Seattle, Houston, Dallas and Washington DC, where he was a National Correspondent for NBC News Radio.

He has appeared on National Television in the US, the UK and in Pakistan as a reporter and commentator.

Trio Arrested In Bethesda Murder Two juveniles and an 18-year-old man were arrested in a Dec. 20 Bethesda homicide, authorities announced. At approximately 8:15 p.m., officers responded to the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue for the report of a suspicious situation, Montgomery County police said. There, they found a man in a stairwell with trauma to his body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity will be released following notification of next of kin. 'A Dark Winter': Maryland Reports Record High Number Of New Daily COVID Infections It looks to be a dark winter for Maryland as the state reported 6,218 new COVID-19 cases on Dec. 21, the most infections added in 24 hours during the coronavirus pandemic, according to the states Coronavirus dashboard. Further, Maryland's COVID-19 hospitalization rate has doubled since the beginning of December, and could overburden the healthcare system. Of those hospitalized about 75% were unvaccinated, according to officials. Body Found On University Of Maryland Campus A man was found dead on the grass of the University of Maryland Campus, the school's police said. First responders found the man in the grass outside Mowatt Lane Parking Garage around 6 a.m. on Dec. 21. He was pronounced dead on the scene. There was no known threat to campus, according to police. Police have not identified the person who died. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.

Marylanders Scramble To Find Covid-19 Test Kits Amid Virus Surge Baltimore's health department and libraries joined forces on Dec. 21 to hand out almost 5,000 free at-home COVID-19 test kits within minutes as residents scramble to find them, according to CBS Baltimore. 2 Dead, 3 Injured In Crash Week Before Christmas In Baltimore County Two young men from Baltimore County are dead after the car they were in crashed into a pole, three other passengers were injured, according to police. Essex Man Critical After Broad Daylight Shooting: Police A man was gunned down in the afternoon in Essex, according to Baltimore County Police. On Dec. 20, at around 1:30 p.m., police responded to the Unit block of Glenwood Rd., for a reported shooting. When officers arrived they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries. Police In Maryland Investigate Fliers Blaming Jewish People For Covid-19 Police in Montgomery County, MD say someone in Silver Spring was spreading Anti-Semitic fliers reportedly blaming Jewish people for COVID-19 and they're trying to find out who is responsible.
