Joe Gomez has worked in news rooms all across the world.

He started as a radio news reporter at Newsradio 850 KOA in Denver shortly after leaving the University of Colorado at Boulder. Gomez then went on to work as a reporter in Seattle, Houston, Dallas and Washington DC, where he was a National Correspondent for NBC News Radio.

He has appeared on National Television in the US, the UK and in Pakistan as a reporter and commentator.

Uber Passenger Slapped With $600 Bill After Hours Stranded On I-95 A Virginia Uber passenger ended up paying hundreds of dollars after the car he was in got stranded on I-95 due to snow, according to WTOP. Andrew Peters, of Richmond Virginia, told the station he was going home after arriving from San Francisco at Dulles International Airport and was clueless of the weather nightmare he was going to encounter. “It was kind of scary,” Peters told WTOP. “We didn’t have any food or water.” He finally made it home after a grueling nine hours and paid a $200 Uber bill. Massive Fire Tears Through Baltimore Building Baltimore firefighters responded to a four-alarm fire at an apartment building in the Charles North neighborhood early Wednesday. The fire started at about 4:30 a.m. in the building at West 22nd Street and Maryland Avenue and quickly spread to the point that flames were shooting out of the roof. Nobody was injured in the blaze, but it took over 100 firefighters to control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Walmart Temporarily Closes Maryland Store Due To Covid-19 A sudden rise in COVID-19 cases forced the shutdown of a Walmart in Laurel, according to Reuters. The Laurel store was closed last week, according to an internal memo obtained by Reuters, because several people at the store had reportedly contracted COVID-19. Walmart did not confirm the information It was one of almost 60 Walmart locations in the US that had to be shut down in December due to COVID-19. Second Snow Storm Could Hit Maryland By End Of Week Marylanders are barely digging out from a major winter storm that dumped close to a foot of snow in some areas but -- a second winter storm could be heading this way by the end of the week, according to Accuweather. The winter storm could move to the mid-Atlantic region by Thursday and bring up to 6 inches of snow to some areas of the state by Friday morning. Silver Spring Man Arrested For 'Ghost Gun': Police Police in Silver Spring arrested a man for possessing a Privately Made Firearm, commonly referred to as a "Ghost Gun." The arrest happened on Jan. 2, at around 9:00 p.m. when Montgomery County Police officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle.
