Joe Gomez has worked in news rooms all across the world.

He started as a radio news reporter at Newsradio 850 KOA in Denver shortly after leaving the University of Colorado at Boulder. Gomez then went on to work as a reporter in Seattle, Houston, Dallas and Washington DC, where he was a National Correspondent for NBC News Radio.

He has appeared on National Television in the US, the UK and in Pakistan as a reporter and commentator.

Areas in the south received the least amount of snow, while further west in Garret County there were reports of up to 8 inches of snowfall. Even though the snow has stopped for today forecasters are warning that temperatures will continue to be near-freezing and wont go above 30 degrees. Fatal Crash Under Investigation By Police In Frederick County Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two car crash that occurred in Frederick County on the morning of Jan. 6.  A Kia Soul was traveling west on Route 26 when it struck the rear of a pickup truck/trailer combo around10:15 a.m. at Old Annapolis Road, State Police said. The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene. Identification of the victim was pending notification of next of kin.

Andrew Peters flew in from San Francisco to Dulles International Airport but said he "didn't really realize" how bad the weather was going to be on Jan. 3. More Snow Possible, Winter Weather Advisory Issued In Maryland The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Maryland and Washington, DC, overnight. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible with isolated high amounts of up to 6 inches in certain areas. The advisory begins at 9 p.m. on Jan. 6 and ends at 5 a.m. on Jan. 7.   The heaviest snow is expected between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. when snowfall rates of 1 inch per hour are possible. Visibility will be reduced to near or less than one-half mile.
