July 4 Fire In South Jersey Kills 2 Trapped Inside, Source Says Two people died after a fire tore through a home in Pennsauken, Camden County, on the Fourth of July, the Pennsauken Fire Department said. Crews were called to the 1600 block of 48th Street at 11:29 p.m. on Friday, July 4, for reports of a residential structure fire, Fire Chief Jonathan B. Hutton said in a release. “Crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions on the second floor with two occupants unaccounted for,” the chief said. Firefighters searched the home and found the victims on the second floor. They were removed from the building but pronounced deceased on location, Hutton said. …
