Son Of Bergen County Executive Charged With Impersonating Police Officer In Florida
The son of Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco was arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer on Route 95 in Florida, authorities said.
James J. Tedesco IV, 43, of Nanuet had an NYPD jacket and DEA hat with him, as well as two AR-15 rifles, 1,139 rounds of ammo and a bag loaded with gas mask equipment and suits, when he was stopped on the southbound interstate in Vero Beach shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said.
He was arrested, processed and sent to the county jail about 2½ hours later, records show.

COVID Vaccinations By Appointment Begin For Paid, Volunteer Health Care Workers In Bergen
COVID-19 vaccines will be distributed by appointment only beginning this Monday, Dec. 28, to paid and volunteer Bergen County Category 1A health care workers, County Executive Jim Tedesco announced Saturday.
Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists and all other Category 1A health care workers from Bergen County can get doses at the county's Alternative Care Facility, a field hospital wing constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers with help from FEMA earlier this year on the campus of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Tedesco said.

Total Covid-19 Cases Per Bergen County Town
Bergen County had more than 20,552 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday morning and since the onset of the pandemic in March, the state's health department reports (scroll down for town-by-town breakdown).
There were 182,614 total cases in New Jersey including 13,944 deaths.
Hackensack, Paramus and Teaneck -- once the epicenter of the outbreak -- had the most cases: 1,397, 1,158 and 1,111, respectfully.
