Attic Fire Severely Damages Paterson Multi-Family Home
An attic fire severely damaged a Paterson multi-family home on Monday. Responding firefighters were met by heavy flames on East 23rd Street near 10th Avenue shortly before noon June 26. They had the two-alarmer knocked down within a half hour and under control roughly 10 minutes after that. No serious injuries were reported. The Passaic County Emergency Services ReHab Canteen Unit provided a misting tent, chair, fluids and snacks. Clifton Attic Fire Doused
Firefighters doused an attic blaze that significantly damaged a Clifton home. Everyone got out of the Witherspoon Road home off Woodlawn Avenue after the smoky fire ignited and spread over the garage around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, responders said. A second alarm was called within 15 minutes. Firefighters had the blaze knocked down in under a half hour. An investigator was requested, although a possible cause wasn't immediately disclosed. Roof Collapses In Clifton House Fire
UPDATE: The roof of a Clifton home collapsed during a fire on Saturday that brought arson investigators. The two-alarm blaze -- three bells for coverage -- ignited shortly before noon May 27 and quickly spread through the home on dead-ended Lynn Drive. Firefighters went defensive once the roof began collapsing, then returned to an offensive attack soon after. No injuries were reported. Four Paterson Houses Aflame In Second Residential Fire Within Hours
Four houses were ravaged by one of two Paterson fires that broke out within hours of one another, responders at the scenes said. Worse was the second blaze, on Marshall Street just off Slater Street, around 4 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1. Firefighters arrived as flames jumped to the second house. Residents Hospitalized With Burns In Paterson Fire
Two residents suffered burns in a mid-afternoon fire that ravaged a Paterson home, responders said. Temperatures broke 90 and the heat index reached triple figures Sunday during the fast-moving upper-floor blaze at the 2½-story wood-frame house on Madison Avenue. Firefighters were forced into an exterior attack about 45 minutes after they arrived. A neighboring home was also damaged in the three-alarmer.
