A 57-year-old private contractor shot and killed his 58-year-old wife and teen son before turning the gun on himself in Morris County, authorities said.
Peter, Kellie and Anthony Ventricelli, 15, were found dead in their Justine Place home in Succasunna around 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said.

A Pennsylvania man is behind bars on allegations that he burglarized half a dozen Morris County businesses — including a retail and convenience store, restaurant, and three gas stations — over the course of three months, authorities announced.
Kenneth K. Cook, 48, was charged with various counts of theft, burglary, criminal mischief, and conspiracy, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said in a release with local officials on Tuesday, June 7.

Feds Bust North Jersey Man On Child Porn Charges
A Morris County man was arrested by federal agents Monday on child porn trafficking charges, authorities said.
Igor Michael Terrero, 49, of Succasunna, shared more than 85 media files -- including "images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children" -- from Aug. 30, 2021, through April 20, 2022, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Jessica S. Allen allowed Terrero's release on a $100,000 unsecured bond with home detention and electronic monitoring during a first appearance via video conference, Sellinger said.

Mahwah-Based DressBarn Closing All 650 Stores
DressBarn, the women's clothing chain, is closing all 650 of its stores after being in business for nearly 60 years.
Parent company Ascena Retail Group based in Mahwah said it plans to focus on its more profitable brands, such as Ann Taylor and Lane Bryant.
DressBarn CFO Steven Taylor said the chain "has not been operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today’s retail environment.”
