Jawbone Of Marine Who Died In Training Exercise ID'd By NJ College Students
Students at Ramapo College helped identify the missing remains of a marine who had been dead for 73 years. In July of 1951, Leland Yager, a U.S. Marines Captain, died in a military training exercise. His remains were recovered in California and buried in Missouri. Years later, a child was doing a scavenging exploration in Arizona when they discovered an unidentified human jaw bone. Last year, enforcement in Arizona referred the case to the Ramapo College Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center and students began working on the case, along with the North Texas Center for Human Identification …

Meghan Cortez-Fields has clocked yet another record for the Ramapo College women's swim team. But not without controversy. 'This Is Us' Star Ron Cephas Jones, Of Paterson, Dies At 66
Ron Cephas Jones, a Paterson native who won two Emmys for his role on "This is Us", died on Sunday, Aug. 19 at the age of 66. Jones attended John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson and graduated from Ramapo College. He starred in movies like "He Got Game," "Sweet and Lowdown" and "Across the Universe" and guest starred on "Law and Order," "NYPD Blue" and "Mr. Robot." A highly decorated and widely respected law enforcement veteran was unanimously approved as Mahwah's new police chief Monday night. Timothy O'Hara was chosen by Mayor Jim Wysocki as the 9th police chief in Mahwah's nearly 80-year-history. Quamier Harding, a Jersey City native, died after being found unresponsive at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico on Tuesday, April 25, multiple outlets are reporting. A swim instructor from Tenafly “engaged in sexual acts” with a pre-teen over the course of two years, authorities charged.
