A paroled armed robber who Hackensack police said they found with a variety of drugs -- including crack and heroin -- after he resisted arrest was freed by a judge on Friday. Drug officers approached Domique Giddings, 30, of Paterson as he sat in the 2000 Honda Accord near the corner of Mary Street and Polifly Road at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Capt. Frank Aquila said. The officers ordered Giddings out of the car after they spotted a vial of cocaine in the driver's side door handle and smelled pot, Aquila said. : New Milford Police Rescue OD Victim, 51, In Locked SUV
A group of New Milford police officers rescued a 51-year-old borough woman who’d overdosed in her locked SUV. An officer broke the window so he and his colleagues could get to the victim in a rear River Road parking lot late Friday afternoon, Detective Lt. Kevin Van Saders said. They immediately administered CPR and then Narcan, which brought her around, he said. The woman -- who told police she'd taken oxycodone -- was taken to Holy Name Medical Center by a hospital ambulance, Van Saders said. The heroes: Capt. Kevin Kiene, Lt. Brian Clancy and Officers Brian Ciavaglia and Andrew Lignos.

Bergen Prosecutor: Westchester Couple Busted Selling Ecstasy To Undercover Detectives
A Westchester couple sold Ecstasy to undercover Bergen County prosecutor’s detectives who busted them, authorities said Friday. Daniel Velasquez, a 32-year-old furniture distribution supervisor, and Kayla Grace Raffaele, 18, both of New Rochelle, became targets in June after detectives received a tip, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said. On July 25, Velasquez sold 25 Ecstasy pills to an undercover investigator in Paramus, Calo said. A Paterson man had already made several cocaine sales to an undercover Bergen County prosecutor’s detective when investigators and officers moved in an arrested him in Paramus, authorities said. CLIFTON, N.J. – Passaic County Sheriff’s detectives seized 1.2 pounds of cocaine and more from a Clifton dealer after searching his home and car, authorities said. Wiston Ramiro Garcia-Oquendo, 41, became a target after investigators received a tip that he was selling coke from his Doherty Drive home and his gray Honda Civic, Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said. LODI, N.J. -- A Lodi resident was one of four women who told a federal court judge Wednesday that they sold thousands of oxycodone pills obtained through prescriptions. Marie DeJulia, 42, admitted that she collected pills for sale from her co-conspirators: Michele Call, 63, and Nelida Rios, 55, of Flemington, NJ, and Call's daughter, 35-year-old Alicia Balaban of Wellington, FL. Undercover Oxy Buys Lead To Arrest Of Rutherford Delivery Driver, 61
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – A Rutherford delivery driver delivered Oxycodone pills to an undercover Bergen County prosecutor’s detective three separate times, leading to his arrest, authorities said. Investigators made the buys after learning in November that Steven Lanza, 61, was dealing the prescribed painkiller, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said. They arrested him Tuesday on drug distribution charges after the third buy, records show. Lanza was released pending an April 4 first appearance in Central Judicial Municipal Court in Hackensack.

FORT LEE, N.J. -- A teacher's assistant admitted Tuesday that he sold tens of thousands of oxycodone pills for nearly seven years while he was working at a Fort Lee elementary school. LODI, N.J. -- A Lodi couple running a drug trafficking operation from their home had 11½ pounds of cocaine and more than 1,900 pills for sale when Paterson police nabbed them and a Prospect Park accomplice with help from the DEA, authorities said.
