Quintet From PA, NC Nabbed By Teaneck Detectives With Three Kilos Of Coke Off NJ Turnpike
Teaneck police seized three kilos of cocaine along with three men from Pennsylvania and two from North Carolina during a traffic stop.
Two vehicles traveling together were stopped by township detectives near the Glenpointe complex just off the New Jersey Turnpike during a drug investigation, Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr said.
The 6½ pounds of coke had an estimated street value of about $60,000, the chief said.

Two men wanted for beating attendants during a two-day spree of quick-stop armed gas station robberies in three New Jersey counties were captured by federal agents, authorities said.
Ex-con Ahmad Singletary, 24, and Joseph Young, 26, both of Newark, committed three of the robberies last Sept. 5, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
Four more holdups -- also in a single day -- followed exactly a week later, the U.S. attorney said.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike has been identified as a third-generation state corrections officer.
Tyler Ford, of Hamilton, was heading south in the outer lanes when he struck a car that was stopped behind a three-car pileup near milepost 78.7 in East Brunswick on Saturday, May 27, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said.
The three-car crash was caused when one vehicle swerved to avoid debris, lost control and became disabled in the left lane, police said. That vehicle was then hit by another, and that one by another, police said.

A 75-year-old woman was killed and three others were injured in a chain-reaction crash on the NJ Turnpike that involved three vehicles, state police said.
The crash occurred on the inner roadway southbound near milepost 95.3 in Carteret just after midnight Thursday, Dec. 29, NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told DailyVoice.

Two Dead In Christmas Crash On NJ Turnpike
A pair of young men were killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike early Christmas morning, authorities said.
Pedro Morales Roias, 28, and Rolando Perez Aragon, 21, both of Bridgeton, were killed when the car they were passengers in tried changing into the lane of a tractor trailer that was trying to pass them on the northbound side in Westampton around 5:15 a.m., New Jersey State Police said.
The car's driver, a 30-year-old Bridgeton man, was seriously injured while the truck driver, a 34-year-old Florida man, had minor injuries, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
