Roofer From Bergenfield Charged With Raping Pre-Teen
A painter from Guatemala who works as a roofer was charged with raping a pre-teen several times in Bergenfield. ICE immediately placed a detainer on Victor Chitay, 37, after he was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Bergen County Jail, records show. Chitay sexually assaulted the pre-teen “on more than one occasion,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. NYC Man Gets 38 Years Without Parole For Assisting ISIS, Stabbing Jail Guard
A Queens man was sentenced Wednesday to 30 years without parole in federal prison for trying to support ISIS, followed by another eight years for assaulting a federal correctional officer. Ali Saleh, 28, will have to serve out just about all of the consecutive sentences because there’s no parole in the federal prison system. Missing NJ Teen Jashyah Moore Found Safe
Jashyah Moore, a 14-year-old New Jersey girl who had been missing since October, was found safe on Thursday, Nov. 11, authorities confirmed. The teen had last been seen Oct. 14 at a deli near her East Orange home. A $20,000 reward had been issued for anyone who could help find her. Jashyah was found in New York City and was "being provided all appropriate services, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, said. "She will be returned to NJ shortly." More information was expected to be released Friday.
