Nearly three pounds of heroin and fentanyl were seized, along with three handguns, $70,000 in cash and more than $500,000 worth of jewelry in the takedown of a major North Jersey/New York City drug ring, authorities said.
A U.S. Postal Service worker was among 14 people arrested as more than 100 local, county and federal law enforcers executed search warrants across Jersey City, Rahway and the Bronx, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.They also hit a Newark location where Suarez said the drugs were processed and packaged for sale.

A Texas woman accused of killing a cyclist involved with her bicycling boyfriend may have hopped a flight from Newark Airport days after the slaying last month, authorities said.
Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, 34, of Austin, went to New York City after killing 25-year-old Anna Moriah Wilson, of Vermont, the US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force said.
Wilson was staying at a friend's place in Austin for a race and involved with Armstrong's partner, Colin Strickland, he later admitted.

A 26-year-old New Jersey man wanted out of New York City on a murder charge was captured by members of the US Marshals Service and the Hudson County Regional SWAT Team over the weekend, authorities said.
A search warrant was issued early Saturday, Feb. 5 at 957 Broadway in Bayonne — where Kegwin Clarke was found, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
