State Grants $2.1M For Renovation Of Jersey City Studio Production Facility
New Jersey is continuing to invest in production. The New Jersey Economic Developing Authority announced on Wednesday, April 10, it has approved $9.5 million in funding to support five projects under the Film and Digital Media Studio Infrastructure Program. Of that grant money, $3.5 million will be going to Jersey City for two projects. A movie production studio in Carteret got a financial boost from New Jersey through a $4.7 million state grant. It's part of a $1 billion, 10-acre redevelopment project, according to Carteret Mayor Daniel J. Reiman. The project includes a 1.2 million-square-foot movie production studio complex called "Carteret Stages." Major Redevelopment Plan For Montclair's Lackawanna Plaza Revealed
The 115-page redevelopment plan for Montclair Township's Lackawanna Plaza has been released, but township officials won't be voting on it until next month. 'Sickened By Reports,' Murphy Orders Investigation Of Abuse At Notorious Women's Prison
UPDATE: Gov. Phil Murphy appointed a special investigator Wednesday to probe allegations that several inmates were beaten at New Jersey's notorious prison for women.
