The revitalization of Hackensack's downtown continues — with the approval of a high-end apartment building approved at the site of the shuttered Hackensack YMCA. The City Planning Board approved a 254-unit high-end residential building with a 6,000 square foot public plaza at 360 Main Street, officials announced on Wednesday, May 15. A highly-respected law enforcement veteran has become Hackensack's new police director. Raymond Guidetti, who retired as a lieutenant colonel after a highly distinguished career with the New Jersey State Police, began working last week, multiple department and city sources confirmed Tuesday.
