A New Jersey State Trooper performed life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a 44-year-old man who collapsed and stopped breathing at a service area on the Garden State Parkway in Central Jersey, authorities said. At about 5 p.m. on Friday, Trooper John Taggart, of Troop “D” Holmdel Station, was dispatched to a 9-1-1 call for a man who reportedly suffered a medical episode and collapsed in the bathroom of the Monmouth Service Area in Wall Township, state police said. Man Shot In Paterson Robbery Seeks Treatment At Jersey Shore Hospital
A Monmouth County man who was shot during a robbery in Paterson showed up at a hospital in Red Bank, authorities said. The 27-year-old victim from Sea Bright sought treatment at Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center around 11 a.m. Friday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora said in a release Saturday. He’d been shot by a robber near the corner of Putnam Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard, nearly 60 miles away, they said. Man Charged In Fatal Biker Night Assault At Controversial NJ Diner
A 54-year-old man was being held in the Ocean County Jail in connection with Wednesday night's fatal assault at a popular Jersey Shore diner that left another dead. Robert Clarke, 78, of Manchester was airlifted to an area hospital after the 7:30 p.m. incident at the Lakeside Diner in Lacey Township, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. A beach patrol vehicle hit two out-of-town girls who were sunning themselves in Ship Bottom, authorities said.
