Knifepoint Fair Lawn Street ‘Robbery’ Takes Unusual Turn
A Fair Lawn detective investigating a report of an attempted knifepoint street robbery quickly got a confession – from the alleged victim, authorities said. Joey T. Martinez, 29, of Paterson had called the police desk at 2:30 a.m. last month to report the failed holdup, Sgt. Eric Eleshewich said. Sex Assault On Walking Path Investigated In Morristown
Authorities in Morristown are on the lookout for two males wanted for sexually assaulting a woman on a walking path. The woman was on the Traction Line Recreation Trail when she was approached by two males pictured above asking for money around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. When the female victim did not provide money, one of the males pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her while the other stood by, Carroll said. ? Bullet Fired Into Clifton Home Misses 1-Year-Old Child
A bullet fired into a Clifton home missed hitting a baby, authorities said. Police turned to the public Tuesday for help investigating the shooting, as well as another a few days later. They don't appear related, authorities said. The first occurred around 9:45 p.m. Aug. 12 on Hamilton Avenue. At least three rounds were shot into the front of a home occupied by a family, including a 1-year-old child, Police Lt. Robert Bracken said. "Fortunately, no one was struck," he said.
