Update: Dogs Die In New Milford House Fire Two dogs were killed in a New Milford house fire early Tuesday night, authorities said. The residents weren't home when the blaze broke out in the kitchen at the back of the Voorhis Avenue home and quickly spread shortly after 7 p.m., New Milford Police Chief Brian Clancy said. Update: Resident Identified In Fatal Ridgewood Senior Housing Blaze Authorities on Monday identified a resident killed in a weekend apartment fire at a senior living community in Ridgewood. The body of Denise Dillon, 72, was found after firefighters doused the flames in her unit at the Ridgecrest Senior Housing development on Ridge Road shortly after 7:30 p.m., Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said. Blind East Orange Man Dies In House Fire, Others Displaced A 53-year-old man died in a fire at his East Orange home Tuesday, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.  The blaze started around 4 p.m. at the Wayne Avenue residence, claiming the life of David Swiney.
