Woman, son struck crossing Park Ridge street

A 17-year-old girl was behind the wheel of a minivan that struck a woman, her grade-school son and a stroller that held a 2-month-old boy at the corner of Park Avenue and Broadway in Park Ridge tonight, police said. Initial indications are that the infant is OK and that injuries to the other two aren’t life-threatening.

The woman, 30, was pushing the stroller when the vehicle hit her, her 8-year-old son, and the stroller, police said.

It’s unclear whether the teen was driving with a provisional license.

Police have yet to identify anyone involved.
