A judge set bail at $25,000 for Vatche Yenoukian, who remained held at the Bergen County Jail this morning.
Yenoukian’s father was at Washington Township police headquarters seeking a restraining order when officers got a call from his daughter Sunday morning.
Responding officers found Yenoukian trying to hide in the bushes outside his family’s house, Lt. Rich Skinner told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. Yenoukin’s father had thrown him out two days earlier, Skinner said.
Then, on Sunday, he tried forcing open the front door, knocking his father down and splitting the door jamb, the lieutenant said.
Yenoukian struggled briefly with police before he was taken into custody. He was charged with heroin possession, resisting arrest, simple assault and criminal mischief. He also cannot go near the house, under a TRO issued by a judge.
Three years ago, Yenoukin was charged with driving under the influence after he flipped his Jeep on the Forest Avenue extension near Fourth Avenue in Westwood, records show.
