Washington Township Police Talk Web Safety With Youngsters

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Washington Township Police Lt. Richard Skinner and Officer Heather Castronova visited the Jessie F. George School and delivered two different age-appropriate assemblies regarding Internet safety.

The pair spoke with pupils form kindergarten through third grade, then addressed fourth- and fifth-graders on remaining "web wise."

The officers shared safety tips, as well as strategies to remain safe on the Internet.

The Westwood Regional School District is the only K-12 regional school district in Bergen County, serving 2,750 or so students from Westwood and Washington Township.
