Officer Heather Castronova was passing a row of stopped cars on Pascack Road with the cruiser's lights and siren on just after 4 p.m. Thursday when the driver of the car in front pulled out to make a left, according to Capt. Gregg Hackbarth, the report says.

Her car hit the cruiser, damaging her car and flattening the tire on the officer's vehicle, it says.

Castronova told Daliy Voice she wasn't seriously injured -- "just sore" -- after x-rays were taken and she was released from HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley in Westwood.
