Washington Township man charged in DWI crashes — one with police car

A 60-year-old Washington Township man with a federal tax fraud conviction on his record was drunk Wednesday night when he crashed his mini-Cooper into a township police car, kept going and got into another accident in Westwood, authorities told Daily Voice.

Stephen Chiolis was brought to HUMC at Pascack Valley, where blood was taken, Westwood Police Chief Frank Regino said. Authorities were awaiting results.

Based on his condition, Chiolis was issued a summons for DWI pending those results, he said. READ MORE….
