The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. in the east parking lot of Westwood Regional High School, 701 Ridgewood Rd., Washington Township.
Although it isn’t required, many people like to dress up in costumes and decorate their vehicles — with fake shark jaws or prison bars, for instance.
Those who don’t have trunks (or cars) can also hand out candy.
What the hosts do ask is that participants be parked no later than 12:30, for safety reasons.
Trunk or treat events have become more popular as concerns over children’s safety have grown.
This brings communities together in a safe place.
Expect plenty of local police, firefighters, ambulance workers and other emergency responders there.
