Both restaurants were hit, police said
The first Hillsdale report came in just after 7:30 yesterday morning from a business on Broadway. Police found the rest of the buildings burglarized when they arrived, said Police Chief Chip Stalter, whose detectives are investigating.
Big Daddy’s pizza parlor, the Creative Expressions salon and two restaurants, Peking House and Matsu, were all broken into through the front doors about three and a half hours earlier, the chief said.
Detective Sgt. Bob Franacviglia and members of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence at the scenes.
Stalter asked that anyone with information about the break-ins to call his department: (201) 664-4200
He also urged business owners and residents to “use strong locks, good lighting, alarm systems, and other security measures to protect property.”
“As always, report anything or anyone suspicious to the police without delay,” the chief added.
