All seven were taken to area hospitals, none with life-threatening injuries, Paramus Police Capt. Brian Goggin told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
The response to the crash, just before 9:30 a.m, was instant:
Agencies that rushed to the scene, at the Washington Township border, included the Paramus and Washington Township police, fire and EMS squads, as well as Paramus Rescue.
A 69-year-old woman driving the Lexus SUV with six minors inside was making a left from southbound Linwood Avenue to Pascack Road north when it collided the Petrillo U.S. Mail truck, Goggin told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
She had to be cut out of the vehicle, emergency workers at the scene said.
The five juveniles, aged 12 to 14, were taken to the hospital, as was the SUV driver and the 44-year-old Garfield man who was driving the box truck, Goggin told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
