Officer Liam Huczko grabbed George Ghobrial, 35, of Bayonne after boarding the train from Journal Square at Newark’s Penn Station and speaking with the girl and a witness, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said.
Ghobrial had fled to the next car after the girl alerted a conductor, both told the officer. So all passengers were held in place until he could be identified, Pentangelo said.
He was taken to the Essex County Jail on criminal sexual contact charges.
