The break-ins occurred sometime between 3-6 p.m. Thursday, they said.
Someone got in without force through the rear door of a home on Park Avenue near Capri Terrace, ransacked the place and took a small amount of jewelry, Police Capt. Joseph Rampolla said.
In the other burglary, a rear glass door was broken and a substantial amount of jewelry and a laptop were taken from a master bedroom, Rampolla said.
No residents were home at the time of the break-ins, he said.
