Dallas J. Uychich blew a red light on Pascack Road at the intersection of Park Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. yesterday and kept going with Detective Chris Puglis pursuit — the lights and siren of his car activated — before cutting up a dirt walking path in Atkins Glen Park, Capt. Joseph Rampolla said.

Police followed the path and found Uychich staying at a residence nearby after identifying him in surveillance footage shot on Kinderkamack Road, where another officer recalled seeing the bike earlier in the day, Rampolla said.

Uychich, who was graduated from Park Ridge High School last year, turned himself in around 9:45 last night, the captain said. He is charged with eluding, obstruction and resisting arrest. He also was issued several motor vehicle summonses.

He was released pending a court hearing in Pascack Joint Municipal Court next Wednesday after posting 10% of $25,000 bail.
